Thomas C. Skelton

**Thomas C. Skelton**, 84, of Versailles passed away Friday, October 31, 2008 at the Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville. He was born at Mineral Springs, Indiana on September 24, 1924 the son of William and Edith Thompson Skelton. He was married to Betty Miller Hoeferkamp on November 10, 1984 and she survives. Other survivors include one step-son David (Lisa) Hoeferkamp of Mishawaka; one step-daughter-in-law Debbie Hoeferkamp of New Marion; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-son Dennis Hoeferkamp. Mr. Skelton was a 32 year employee of Arvins in Columbus and was a former resident of Bartholomew County. He was a member of the Versailles Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 4 at 11am at the Versailles Church of Christ with Dale Day officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10am until time of services at the church. Memorials may be given to the Versailles Church of Christ in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
