Thomas A. (Tom) Comer

**Thomas A. (Tom) Comer**, 54, of Indianapolis, formerly of Holton, passed away Wednesday May 28 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. Mr. Comer was born at Batesville on January 12, 1949 the son of Henry Jr. and Evelyn Dudley Comer. He was a 1967 graduate of Holton High School and a 1972 graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in agriculture mechanization. He also received an Associate degree from IUPUI in computer technology. Mr. Comer had received many honors and awards in Ripley County 4H as well as with the FFA at Holton High School. He had been employed with Merchants Bank and Mallory Controls in Indianapolis. Mr. Comer was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church and the Purdue Agriculture Alumni. He is survived by his parents, Henry and Evelyn Comer of Holton, his brother Donald Comer and wife Gloria of Holton, his sister Sharon Allen and husband Bob of Charlestown, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Connie Jane Comer. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 1 at 2pm at the Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. David Shivers officiating. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Calling will be Saturday, May 31 from 4pm to 7pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Holton Cemetery or the building fund of the Hopewell Baptist Church.
