Timmy L. Starkey

Timmy L. Starkey, 53, of Osgood passed away suddenly Monday, November 14, 2022 at the Mercy Harrison Hospital in Harrison, Ohio. He was born in Batesville on February 28, 1969 the son of Ralph and Jessie Caplinger Starkey. He was married to Leitha LaFollette on September 12, 2004 and she survives. Other survivors include his mother Jessie (Raymond) Zapfe of Westport; two sons Rusty (Katlyn) Spurlock of Versailles and Brad Spurlock of Aurora; three daughters Cassandra (Steve) Arney of Versailles, Gabrielle LaFollette of Greenwood, and Brittany (Jeff) Downey of Versailles; grandchildren Abby Arney, Bella and Gracie Downey, Draven, Jaylon, Daniel, Connor, and Colton Spurlock, and Eli and Joanna Horn; one brother Buddy (Lori) Starkey of Sweet Home, Oregon; six sisters Tina (Al) Asche of Osgood, Carol Brashear of Butlerville, Michelle (Richard) Struckman and Denise (Bobby) Cole both of Westport, Mary (Michael) Mulroy of Milan, and Cindy Starkey of Osgood. He was preceded in death by his father and his granddaughters Shaylyn and Jocelyn Spurlock. Timmy was employed with Ollier Masonry in Batesville for 25 years where he worked as a hod carrier. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Osgood Post 237. Timmy loved his family and his grandchildren were his world. He and Leitha enjoyed ranger riding, Friday date nights, and taking in the outdoors. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 18 from 4pm to 7pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
