Virginia (Pat) Busching

Virginia (Pat) Busching, 76, of Versailles, formerly of Milan, passed away Friday, June 8, 2007 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. She was born near Deleware on July 13, 1930 the daughter of Arval (Pat) and Hazel Schornick Molen. She was married to Alvin Busching on August 15, 1953 and he survives. Other survivors include two sons, Tim Busching and his wife Christie of Madison, and Mark Busching of Versailles; two grandsons, Michael Busching of Daytona Beach and Brian Busching of Bloomington; one brother Ronald Molen and his wife Reatha of Clayton; one sister Ruth Ann Ruggles and her husband Ralph of Milan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Phillip Molen. Mrs. Busching was a 1948 graduate of Moores Hill High School and was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Stumpkes Corner. She was also a former member of the Milan Lions Club, the Moores Hill Chapter of the Eastern Star, and was past president of the Ripley County Republican Womens Club. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Milan Feed and Grain and for Krick Electric in Milan. She had served as First Deputy in the Ripley County Treasurer's office and was elected to and served as Ripley County Auditor from 1986 to 1994. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 11 at 10:30am at the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Stumpkes Corner near Milan with Pastor Richard Mackey officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery at Versailles. Visitation will be Sunday from 2pm to 6pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 9:30am until time of services at the church Monday. Memorials may be given to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Cliff Hill Cemetery, or the Heart Fund in care of the funeral home.
