Virginia Geisler, 85, of Versailles passed away Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Waters of Dillsboro Manor.
She was born near Osgood on March 29, 1923 the daughter of Samuel and Josephine Hutson McClure. She was married to Delver Geisler on January 17, 1942 and he preceded her in death on May 16, 1981. Survivors include three sons, Jerry (Susan) Geisler of Lawrenceburg, Johnnny (Gloria) of Akron, Ohio, and Pastor Jeff (Vicky) Geisler of Fort Wayne; Ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Eva Curran and Carrie Stewart and one brother Aaron. Mrs. Geisler was a member of the Tyson United Methodist Church and a 61-year member of the Versailles American Legion Auxiliary. She was formerly employed with the Versailles IGA and Ohio Rod.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23 at 1pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. James Byerly officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11am until time of services at 1pm. Memorials may be given to the Tyson United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
