Walter Bricka, 96, of Versailles
passed away Sunday, June 5, 2005 at the Silver
Bell Nursing Home at Versailles. He was born near Milan on January 7, 1909 the
son of Milton and Maggie Smith Bricka. He was married to Leona Ford and she
preceded him in death on November 14, 1998. Mr. Bricka was a truck driver for
Seagrams for 25 years retiring in 1960. He was a member of the Aurora Eagles
Lodge and he and his wife owned and operated a farm in Minnesota for several
years. Survivors include his niece Karen Hillig of Versailles. He was also
preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Graveside services
will be held Sunday, June 12
at 2pm at the Cliff Hill Cemetery in
Versailles with Rev. Charles Cole of the Dabney Baptist Church officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in
Versailles. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
