Walter H. Busch, 82, of Osgood
passed away Monday, August 1, 2005 at the Christ
Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born near Osgood on August 19, 1922 the son of
Henry and Mary Neihouse Busch. He was married to Annabelle Fry on April 14, 1947
and she survives. Other survivors include two sons, William Busch and his wife
Melodie of Osgood and Robert Busch and his wife Mary of Batesville; one
daughter, Barbara Elliott and her husband Jeff of Indianapolis; seven
grandchildren, Eric, Angie, Ryan, Michael, and David Busch and Brian and Matt
Elliott; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Stegemoller of Versailles. He was preceded in
death by his parents, his granddaughter Carrie Busch, and his sister Esther
Dean.
Mr. Busch was a 1940 graduate of
Osgood High School and had farmed his entire life. He was a member of St.
Peter's United Church of Christ at Finks Corner and also the Ripley County Farm
Bureau. He had formerly worked as a tobacco base measurer for the ASC. Funeral
services will be held Friday, August 5
at 10:30am at St. Peter's
United Church of Christ with Rev. Carol Leslie officiating. Burial will be in
St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Osgood. Visitation will be Thursday, August
from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in
Versailles. Memorials may be given to St. Peter's United Church of Christ
building fund or to the foundation for Parkinsons Disease Research.
