Walter H. Kamman, 71, of Holton passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at his home. He was born near New Marion on May 28, 1941 the son of Walter and Leah Heitmeyer Kamman. He was married to Sarita Snedaker Wall on October 4, 1975 and she survives. Other survivors include two sons Michael (Teresa) Kamman of Columbus and Christopher (Dawn) Kamman of Greenwood; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; one sister Mary Thayer of Osgood. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Kamman, and his sisters Carolyn Kamman and Ruth Ann Swinney. Mr. Kamman was a 1959 graduate of Osgood High School and was a member of the NRA. He had farmed, worked at Swinney's Farm Equipment in Versailles, and retired from Crum Trucking in 2008. Walter was a member of the Board of Directors of the Holton Water Corporation. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22 at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Irvin Hart of the New Testament Christian Church in Osgood officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be Friday from 5pm to 7pm. Memorials may be given to the New Testament Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
