Waunetta Fay Mccauley

Waunetta Fay McCauley, 77, of Cross Plains passed away Monday, May 31, 2010. She was born at Louisville, Kentucky on November 10, 1932 the daughter of Raymond and Irma Werner Herndon. She was married to William McCauley on January 25, 1958 and he survives. Other survivors include one son Michael (Stacy) McCauley of Greensburg; three daughters Theresa (Ken) Wagner of West Harrison, Tammy (Brian) Varble of Versailles, Kentucky, and Michele (Jeff) Gammons of Milan; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; one brother Jerry Herndon of Lebanon, Tennessee; three sisters Martha Tipton and Irene Gill both of Eminence, Kentucky and Lorene Tipton of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Robert Coy, and her brother Raymond Herndon. Mrs. McCauley was a former employee of US Shoe in Vevay and had worked for 12 years in the deli of the Versailles Super Market. She was also a cake decorator and a member of the Cross Plains Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 4th at 11am at the Cross Plains Church of Christ with Rev. Brian Varble officiating. Burial will be in the Methodist Cemetery Cross Plains. Visitation will be Thursday from 5pm to 8pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles and from 10am until time of services at the church on Friday. Memorials may be given to the Cross Plains Methodist Cemetery or the donors choice in care of the funeral home.
