Wayne Scott

Wayne Scott, 69, of Versailles passed away Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. He was born at Madison on November 22, 1940 the son of John R. and Irma Heiderman Scott. He was married to Roberta Yeary on July 24, 1975 and she survives. Other survivors include one son Jerry Wayne Scott of Versailles; two daughters Susan (Steve) Whitham of Madison and Sandra (Grant) Brown of Cross Plains; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; one sister Connie Gabbard of Cross Plains. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sons Kenneth and Randell. Mr. Scott was a 1959 graduate of Cross Plains High School. He was a former heavy equipment operator for Webster's Construction and had worked as a road grader for the Ripley County Highway Department. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 9 at 1pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Darrell Statler officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12pm until time of services. Memorials may be given to the donors choice.
