William "Bill" Buchanan

William "Bill" Buchanan, 44, of Holton passed away Sunday, December 9, 2007 at his home. He was born at Madison on July 19, 1963 the son of William and Carol DeWire Buchanan. Survivors include his mother Carol Buchanan of Holton, companion Tammy Patrick of Vevay, grandmother Edith DeWire of Holton; two brothers, Mark (Connie) Buchanan and Ron (Roseanne) Buchanan both of Versailles; two sisters, Terri McMillan of Osgood and Sherri (Rick) Hardwick of North Vernon; 5 nephews, 6 nieces, one step-niece, and one step-nephew. Mr. Buchanan was a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed four wheel ATV competition and had won numerous trophies. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 12 at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Robert McCreary of the Holton Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Flat Rock Cemetery near Osgood. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given to the Flat Rock Cemetery, Kings Daughters Hospice, or the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in care of the funeral home.
