William Wesley (Tucker) Boyd

William Wesley (Tucker) Boyd, 82, of Elrod passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison. He was born near Elrod on October 18, 1921 the son of Samuel and Hattie Calendar Boyd. Mr. Boyd was a farmer and retired from the Milan Furniture factory in 1980 after 26 years. He is survived by two sisters, Rubie Boyd of Elrod and Rozetta Bradley of Rising Sun. He was preceded in death by his brothers Raymond, Orvin, and Thurman Boyd and his sister Edith Henschen. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Bruce Fitzsimmons of the Washington Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 11 from 5pm to 7pm. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery at Dilllsboro. Memorials may be given to the Oakdale Cemetery or to the Washington Cemetery.
