Woodrow Mcgee

**Woodrow McGee**, 91, of Cross Plains passed away Monday, August 2, 2004 at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison. He was born in Cross Plains, Indiana on December 6, 1912, the son of Albert and Lucinda Conyers McGee. He was married to Alma Palmer on July 27, 1939 and she preceded him in death on August 14, 2000. Other survivors include nieces and nephews. He graduated from Versailles High School in 1930 and received his teaching certificate from Central Normal in Danville. Mr. McGee taught school at New Marion and Cross Plains. He was a member of the Versailles F&AM # 7, the Indianapolis Valley Scottish Rite and the Versailles Order of the Eastern Star. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 5 at 11:00am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Charles Cole of the Dabney Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be Thursday August 5 from 10:00am until the time of services. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Dabney Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
