Zedra Samples, 96, of Rexville passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born at Manchester, Kentucky on April 1, 1914 the daughter of Samuel and Haley Webb. She was married to Wendell Samples and he preceded her in death on September 20, 1990. Survivors include one daughter Mary Tewmey of Versailles; three sons Tullas (Judy) Samples of Perryville, Missouri, Jim (Joyce) Samples of Versailles, and Bert (Sonja) Samples of Rexville; daughter-in-law Elosie Samples of Versailles; 19 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sons Frank, Glenn, and Sam, and her brothers Earl, Lee Robert, and Craft Webb. Mrs. Samples was a homemaker and also had worked as a nurses aide at the Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison, at Cragmont, and at the Manderley Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 11 at 12pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Shannon Schmaltz and Dale Day officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Memorial Garden at Madison. Visitation will be Thursday from 10am until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Activities Fund of the Manderley Health Care Center or to the donors choice in care of the funeral home.
